Michele Blondheim created the Community Relations Department at Cox Automotive in 2004. Cox Automotive is a leading provider of products and services that span the automotive ecosystem worldwide, with more than 25 brands that together provide end-to-end digital marketing, wholesale and commerce solutions for customers large and small. Under her leadership, its mission and involvement has grown substantially to become both a thriving and defining component of the company’s corporate culture.

As Executive Director, Michele is responsible for executing Cox Automotive’s philanthropic strategy; directing the corporate contributions approach; spearheading companywide employee engagement volunteer programs; establishing community partnerships with local, national and global organizations; and leveraging involvement with its parent company, Cox Enterprises. She is also responsible for leading an expanded team of 30 Community Relations employees in each of Cox Automotive’s business units to ensure consistency and results.  

Prior to joining Cox Automotive, Michele worked in the nonprofit sector and served as director of development for an emergency shelter for children. She also worked as a civilian victim advocate for the Miami Beach Police Department within the Criminal Investigations Division.

Michele earned a Masters of Social Work from Florida State University. She skillfully combines her passion for service, clinical background and corporate experience to expand Cox Automotive’s Community Relations efforts in unique and progressive ways.

Michele serves on the Board of Directors for Bobby Dodd Institute, as well as on the Advisory Committee for Open Hand. She lives in Dunwoody, Georgia with her husband and two boys.
