Kristen Fraser is manager of marketing public relations at Aflac – a Fortune 150 company (No. 126) and the nation’s largest provider of supplemental insurance. Her primary responsibilities include overseeing and executing national media relations programs for consumer, producer and community initiatives, including product launches, national sponsorships, cause marketing, executive communications and national advertising campaigns featuring the iconic Aflac Duck. Since joining the company in February 2014, she has executed some of Aflac’s most creative and successful communications efforts.

In 2017, Kristen expanded her responsibilities, leading Aflac’s communication efforts related to the company’s primary philanthropic cause, the Aflac Childhood Cancer Campaign. At the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, she spearheaded the historic introduction of My Special Aflac DuckTM, an innovative robotic duck that provides comfort to children coping with cancer. The project generated more than 1,200 news stories and 2 billion media impressions in a single week, while earning multiple accolades,including the Tech for a Better World Innovation Award. In 2015, Kristen coordinated communications for Aflac's largest, most integrated marketing campaign to-date, One Day Pay, where she led strategy and execution for national public relations and social media efforts.

Prior to joining Aflac, Kristen worked in agency and corporate settings where she focused on public relations, social media and digital marketing programs. She specialized in automotive, food, sports and tourism brands.

Kristen and her teams have earned numerous industry awards and accolades, including a 2016 PRSA Silver Anvil Award of Excellence for Reputation/Brand Management and a 2016 PRSA Bronze Anvil for CreativeTactics. In 2015, she was recognized by PR News as a corporate Rising PR Star. During Kristen’s tenure at Aflac, her team has been named PR News’ Top Places to Work in PR for two consecutive years and in 2017,the Communications team received the Gold Stevie American Business Award in the Communications Team of the Year category.

Kristen serves on the board of directors for the Greater Columbus Georgia Chamber of Commerce’s Young Professionals and Muscogee County’s Enrichment Services Program. She received a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from the University of Georgia and earned a Leadership Excellence certification fromColumbus State University’s Leadership Institute.
